Hello, I am Martijn Lagrand, married to Sharon Lagrand – van der Heijden and father of Esmee Lagrand.
A few highlights…
I believe that IT ‘problems’ are there to be solved. As IT people, we are responsible for supporting “the user” in his / her work, but we must understand the wishes of the user organization! Concrete Business Value must be delivered at the bottom of the line.
User involvement is essential for the success of complex processes, both in translating their wishes into concrete System Requirements and in the continuous validation of the implementation of those wishes. , in this area of tension between business and IT, I feel at home.
The role I am takingl is secondary to the goal that must be achieved: Return on Investment, satisfied users and successful projects!
Working as tester since 2007
Since I started as a junior tester in 2007, DELTAISIS and I have shaped my career to where it is today is: Test Automation Engineer at KPMG in Amstelveen. Recently I have been able to work for appealing companies as REAAL , Achmea and Remia . I now know everything about mortgages, car insurance and mayonnaise.
1 June 2018 I started Lagrand ICT and in July 2018 I started the first assignment.

One of my motives is to get a look in a kitchen at another organization every two years. It gives me energy to gain knowledge and to share further. To return to the mayonnaise: in terms of IT there are many similarities with a mortgage; you always have a customer, a supplier, a product and a registration / information need.
For me, the intake is one of the most important and fun moments of an entire assignment. At this moment you get the chance to discuss “his problem” with a new client. Often this is already a first step towards “the solution”, which leads to eye openers and often a (big) smile.
Although we are seconded as professionals throughout the country, there is always a good relationship with former colleagues. We find each other in our corresponding passion for the profession, and also often in our humor. And you can always approach a colleague if you want to talk about an assignment. In this way, a client not only gets one professional, but the knowledge of an entire organization.
As Requirements Analyst, I bridge the gap between the wishes of the factory and the warehouse and the possibilities of process optimization that IT offers us. My assignment has two objectives that are not mutually exclusive: to continue to offer the same high quality, with a faster process or with the same process guaranteeing the quality for our customers even better.
